Description

Pair of automatic 3-point seat belts for all Jaguar E-Type Coupe, 2+2 and Roadster models 1961-1975 (S1, S2 and S3). These seat belts are functional replacements of the original compliant with current EU safety standards. Available in Black only, with long and short buckle connection. Suitable for LHD and RHD.

Do not save on safety. Seat belts that show signs of wear and tear should be replaced. Tests have shown that seats belts with an average life of 20 years and 200’000 km (without accident) are up to 70% weaker than a new seat belt. After an accident seat belts should be always replaced. The impact in an accident reduces the effectiveness of the belt because it permanently elongates the webbing and looses its ability to absorb energy. Seat belts are safety products that are non-serviceable. No attempt should be made to disassemble or repair them.

These seat belts of European origin are remanufactured in configurations identical to those found in your classic Jaguar. Unlike your original seat belts however they fully comply with current European ECE R16 vehicle safety regulations (E8 homologation).

Seat belts are delivered with fitting instructions and a comprehensive installation kit (bolts, nuts, washers brackets, etc…) to cover the different models for which they were originally designed. Thread of the anchorage bolts is the standard 7/16″ UNF used in the automotive industry since the 60s.

These seat belts are available with short 15cm (6″) or long 30cm (12″) buckle connection. Please verify availability of anchor points and required buckle connection in your car before ordering.

A Geoffrey Short or long buckle connection refers to the length of the stalk between the seats. Cars with lower seats typically require the short buckle. Cars with taller seats typically require the long buckle. For your Jaguar E-Type S3 convertible you need the long buckle connection. Please don't hesitate in case of any further questions. Kind regards, Wouter.
