Complete restoration kit for the 2 front seats of Porsche 911 models 1974-1984 with original Recaro sport seats. Available for early style (74-81) and later style (81-84) sport seats in original Porsche leatherette or Porsche full nappa leather.

Our sport seat restoration kit is probably the best you can buy for completeness, originality and fit. The kit includes everything you typically need to bring your front seats back to factory new condition; all front seat covers and correction foam for seat base bolsters.

Our hand crafted front seat covers (2 back rest and 2 seat base covers), match Stuttgart factory specifications step by step; from the finest Scottish hides with Porsche PoN perforation for the center sections, top quality calico backing material, exact specification pleat filling, right down to the piping cord and the high resistance yarns we use. All hides are precision cut, piping bound and pre-formed to guarantee a factory authentic fit.

Bear in mind, that a significantly deformed or decomposed seat base can only be restored with new cell foam. New seat base cell foams are not included as part of this kit.

The seat restoration kit comes with step-by-step installation instructions and pictures. Installation requires no specific tools and is within the ability of the moderately experienced home mechanic.

There are 2 different sport seat configurations for this period. In ’81 Recaro slimmed down the bolsters around the hinge point to allow the seats to tilt forward further and improve access to the rear seats. The easiest way to distinguish early and later style Recaro sport seats is to count the number of pleats in the seat base and look at the bolsters around the hinge point. Early models (’74-’81) have 6 pleats and bolsters of the seat base and seat back touch each other around the hinge point. Later models (’81-’84) have 7 pleats and bolsters of the seat base and seat back do not touch each other. Please verify your seat style before ordering.

Because of fading of the original material and colour differences between dye lots, we offer the front seat restoration kit in Black and selected colors only. For complete full leather interior kits we can offer most original Porsche colors (please enquire).
